Community Code of Conduct
In full accordance with BIT ODD’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, these guidelines ensure that all spaces connected to our game remain safe, respectful, and enjoyable for everyone. By participating, you agree to follow these standards and help maintain a positive, inclusive environment.
Respectful Behavior and Personal Conduct
Respect is the foundation of our community. Every member deserves to feel welcome, valued, and safe. Please treat others the way you would like to be treated. Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, personal attacks, or toxic behaviour of any kind are not tolerated. Keep conversations constructive and friendly. Disagreements are natural, but they must be handled with maturity and respect. Personal insults or inflammatory comments have no place here. English is the primary language across our public channels unless a channel is designated for another language. Moderators and admins are here to help maintain a healthy atmosphere. Please respect their decisions and instructions. If you disagree with a moderation action, raise the concern privately instead of arguing in public.
Content and Posting
Our community spaces should be welcoming and appropriate for a wide audience. Content must remain respectful and suitable for all members. Do not post or share explicit, offensive, or illegal material. This includes NSFW content, hate imagery, gore, or depictions of extreme violence. Memes, jokes, and creative posts are encouraged when they add value to the conversation. Always use common sense and stay within community standards. Keep discussions relevant to the channel topic, and avoid derailing focused conversations.
Spam, Self-Promotion, and Cheating
We want our channels to remain clear and meaningful. Avoid spamming messages, reactions, or links. Repetitive or disruptive behavior interrupts genuine interaction and will be removed. Self-promotion, advertising, or sharing personal projects is only permitted in areas specifically designated for that purpose. Unsolicited promotion is not appropriate. Fair play is central to our game and community. Cheating, hacking, exploiting bugs, or using unauthorized modifications to gain an advantage is not allowed. Such behavior undermines trust and balance, and will result in disciplinary action.
Voice Chat and Microphone Etiquette
Voice channels are shared spaces that rely on mutual respect. Avoid screaming, excessive noise, or the use of soundboards that disrupt others. Allow everyone a chance to speak. Voice and streaming features are intended for community and game-related use. Use each channel according to its purpose so everyone can enjoy a smooth and organized experience.
Privacy, Safety, and Reporting
Protecting privacy and safety is essential. Never share personal information, yours or anyone else’s, without consent. Respect the boundaries of others both online and offline. Do not encourage or glorify self-harm, dangerous actions, or harmful behavior. If you see something concerning, report it to the moderation team immediately. If someone violates these guidelines, do not try to enforce them yourself. Contact a moderator and allow them to handle the situation fairly and consistently.
Community Events
Community events are opportunities to connect, compete, and collaborate—whether online or in real life. Everyone attending or participating is expected to follow these same community standards. Treat event spaces and participants with respect. Be mindful of how you represent the community in public or digital settings. Harassment, exclusion, or disruptive behavior during events will not be tolerated. When attending in-person gatherings, remember that safety and respect come first. Follow any event-specific instructions or venue rules, and always prioritize the comfort and well-being of others.
